I've decided to add a fossil component to my sand site. Fossils was actually my first passion. When I was very young, my cousin bought me a Life book with the title something like Life on Earth. I opened it and the first page was dominated by the image of a trilobite. The chapter was titled something like "Life Begins." I was hooked! I wanted to be a paleontologist! Well, that never happened. But my passion for collecting these incredible creatures is still with me sixty years later. The thought of cracking open a rock and seeing something that hasn't seen the light of day for 450 million years still gives me a thrill. I've decided to digitalize my collection and share it with you since I no longer can share it with my students since my retirement. I will attempt to identify the specimens to the best of my ability. I can't guarantee the accuracy. Don't hesitate to e-mail me if you see a mistake, or have a suggestion. Feel free to use the images.  Enjoy!
